The publisher has made an initial demonstration of its next OS at the conference D9. Windows 8 will receive a new additional interface, particularly suitable for touch devices.

With this new interface, users can launch applications directly from a full screen menu, designed from large dynamic thumbnails, similar to those found in Windows Phone 7. These "Live Tiles" will display notifications, the last opened documents, etc.. To move from one application to another, just a sweep of the hand, as shown in the video above.
To take advantage of this new design full-screen, new Windows applications will emerge, designed with Web technologies (HTML 5 / javascript).
