Those who want to convert HDMI to USB, Media box sets seem to be getting smaller by the day and Always Innovating has taken this to heart, coming up with the so-called HDMI Dongle.
What exactly does the tiny device do? Basically it turns your regular HDTV into an Internet-connected screen, transforming it into an all-in-one media device that can stream movies and play online games, aside from the usual Internet browsing.
The HDMI dongle is compatible with GoogleTV and can be set up to run on Ice Cream Sandwich. It can also connect to favourite programmes like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon video-on-demand, making it a nifty tool to bring along on those night outs with friends or even a simple family gathering.
Aside from its connectivity, the dongle also has 1GB of RAM and a microsd slot, if you fancy playing local files straight to your HDTV.
It's capable of streaming content at 1080p, and accessing Hulu, Netflix or Amazon's video store shouldn't cause a fuss. We're told it'll start at $79, but an actual release date seems to be eluding us. Head on past the break for a couple of in-action videos.
