
Samsung Electronics to bring in the high-density 3.5-inch hard drives intended for high-end computer users with Spinpoint F3. This drive work on 7200rpm with capacities up to 1TB. Capacity is achieved by using a 2 disk platter with a 500GB each. The use of 2 disk platter will impact on increased performance and lower power usage.
Spinpoint F3 working with minimal noise due to a SilentSeek and NoiseGuard Technology, and of course, is compliant with RoHS. For interface, Samsung using 3.0Gbps SATA interface with NCQ (Native Command Queuing) features and with a choice of the buffer memory 16MB or 32MB. In addition to 1TB capacity, Spinpoint F3 is also available in 500GB capacity.
